When Jared and his twin brother Simon move into a secluded old house with their mother and sister, strange things start to happen. Upon discovering a magical field guide, the boys are drawn into a wonderful, and sometimes dangerous, realm of fairies, goblins and ogres. However, when the creatures come looking for the mysterious book, the boys must fight to protect it as they begin to uncover the fantastic truth about the Spiderwick Estate. A visual delight, the film is based on the beloved series of books written by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black.
